Riviera Travel releases 2025 European river cruises at 2024 prices

Riviera Travel has released its 2025 European river cruise programme with prices held at 2024 rates.

On sale now, 261 departures are available to book across 16 itineraries sailing from March-November, visiting destinations in France, Germany, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary and the Netherlands.

The eight-day Burgundy, the River Rhone & Provence sailing features seven excursions including a wine tasting in Beaune, visit to the Palace of the Popes, guided tour of Lyon and sailing through Ardèche Gorges.

Prices start at £1,499.

The eight-day Rhine Cruise to Switzerland itinerary calls at Strasbourg, Koblenz, Rüdesheim, Speyer and Lucerne and includes a visit to Titisee in the Black Forest, a railway journey up the Bernese Oberland Mountain range and an onboard live classical quartet recital. Prices lead in at £2,099.

The eight-day Blue Danube cruise sails round-trip from Budapest and calls at Esztergom, Bratislava, Dürnstein, Salzburg and Vienna and includes visits to Esztergom Basilica and Melk Abbey. The lead-in price is £1,599.

All prices including return flights with regional airport options, Eurostar travel on select itineraries, full board, a premium drinks package and scheduled visits and tours.

Within the collection, the operator has added 32 new themed departures, which it said have been “tailored to focus on guest interests”.

The themed cruises, available across eight itineraries, will depart between April and October 2025 and focus on either food, art, music, history or gardens.

Riviera Cruises’ Gastronomy of the Douro sailing from Portugal to Spain including a port sampling tour in Porto, almond tasting in Castelo Rodrigo, tapas tasting in Salamanca and food tour in Lamego. Prices start at £2,099.

The History & Art of the Rhone cruise includes a visit to the Palace of the Popes and the Petite Palais Museum in Avignon, the Cybèle archaeological gardens in Vienne, the Caverne du Pont D’Arc and the Hotel Dieu Museum. The lead-in price is £1,799.
