Carrier will host some of the UK’s top agents at its first conference-style overseas event this year.
The Carrier Retreat, held at Grecotel Corfu Imperial in Greece on May 13-16, will feature a “carefully choreographed agenda that combines meaningful business content with quality relaxation time”.
Invites will be extended to 30 “established and high-growth-potential” agent partners, including retail and homeworkers.
Carrier said the event would allow attendees to strengthen and build relationships with its senior management team, as well as a “carefully chosen network” of like-minded luxury specialist agent partners.
The operator pitched the event as an “opportunity to be immersed in the Carrier community”.
Head of sales Rick Milne said: “We’re conscious that the luxury B2B market is now exceptionally crowded with a high number of tour operators looking to engage with essentially the same travel agent audience, and everyone tends to host similar UK-based events.
“At Carrier, we always seek to do things a little differently and offer something to our agent partners that really adds value to their business.
“We aim to deliver an experience that not only showcases a Carrier-featured resort, but also includes additional content from inspirational expert speakers that can actively help build on the agent’s day to day business; we want to share valuable insight and enable our agent partners to think differently about luxury. We have designed the retreat to include a heady mixture of networking, presentations and masterclasses. We want to inform, inspire and connect people.”
Milne added that while the event would combine informative and inspirational content, equal emphasis would be placed on taking time out to reflect and relax.
