Cultural escorted tours specialist Martin Randall Travel has been sold to a private equity firm.
The operator was established 35 years ago and runs around 180 tours a year in the UK, continental Europe, North Africa, Middle East, Asia, India, Japan, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Americas.
It sources travellers from multiple source markets including the UK, US and Australia.

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO acted as advisor on the sale of the company to consumer-focused private equity outfit Piper for an undisclosed sum.
