P&O Cruises has claimed record-breaking sales in its strongest January ever.
No booking levels were disclosed but the most popular destinations were highlighted as being the Caribbean, Norwegian fjords and the Atlantic Islands.
A longer average booking lead time was also seen during the period.
The Excel-class ship Iona attracted the most interest.
P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: “The beginning of this year’s wave has once again surpassed all expectations with record-breaking sales indicating a renewed confidence in the holiday market and the excellent value for money that you get with a P&O Cruises holiday.
“We entered 2024 better booked so we have less reliance on the lates market which is better for us and better for agents in terms of earnings potential.”
Wave booking offers remain in place until March 4, including 10% deposits on Select Price or Early Saver rates and 20% off selected Classic drinks packages.
The line also has more child places available on summer 2024 holidays on Iona and sister ship Arvia.
