The Travel Network Group’s new cruise sales director John Wilson has started recruiting to expand its in-house cruise tour operator.
Wilson, who joined the consortium in May, was tasked with expanding its cruise proposition and accelerating the growth of The Cruise Club.
“I am recruiting to grow The Cruise Club team,” he said.
“Currently we have 10 members, and I plan on a phased approach to have 15 in place by November, although that figure could well grow as the cruise sales from our membership continues to grow.”
Wilson said the consortium had been seeing “really strong demand” for packages weighted into 2026 and 2027, which accounted for about 70% of sales in July.
He added that cruise sales volume had “grown considerably” following the group’s annual conference, which took place in Bucharest in June.
