Universal Destinations and Experiences senior sales director Paul Kelly is to retire at the end of this year.
Kelly has worked for the company for 27 years, joining as travel industry sales manager for Universal Orlando Resort in 1998 and progressing to become Universal Parks & Resorts sales director.
He became director of sales for EMEA and Asia at Universal Destinations and Experiences in 2012.
Alison Montague, vice-president & managing director marketing & sales international, paid tribute to Kelly’s contribution.
She said: “After an incredible 27 years with Universal Destinations & Experiences, Paul will be retiring at the end of this year.
“Paul joined us just ahead of the opening of Universal Islands of Adventure in 1998, and ever since, he has been at the heart of our sales team - helping guide us through the launch of countless attractions, resorts and two additional theme parks, including our water theme park, Volcano Bay and, most recently, Epic Universe.”
Montague added: “Hugely respected and well-loved across the industry, Paul is not only a true professional but also an integral part of our team’s DNA.
“His passion, leadership, and unwavering commitment have left a lasting mark, and we are so grateful for everything he has contributed over the years.”
