Virgin Atlantic is offering agents the chance to win unlimited flights across its global network for a year.
The Unlimited Flight Seats incentive was unveiled last night (December 10) at the airline’s inaugural AIRmazing Awards – a new annual event to recognise the achievements of travel agent partners.
Melanie Gittins, senior account manager at Virgin Atlantic, told a Travel Weekly webcast: “One lucky travel agent could travel anywhere on our network for 12 months.
“The agent can travel with a companion as well – so we’re not only giving the travel agent the chance to fly with us for a full year.”
The incentive runs from January 6 to March 2, after which the draw will be made to find the winning agent.
To enter, agents need to be members of the airline’s loyalty scheme called Sky High Club, which recently celebrated its third anniversary.
“Every booking that you make with Virgin Atlantic or Delta Air Line codeshare, you can pop it into Sky High Club, and you earn entries for each booking,” said Gittins.
“Any bookings you make, you will be in with a chance to win.”
Agents making a booking in economy class get one entry, but there will be five entries for booking a seat in Upper Class.
Gittins said more than 7,000 agents are members of Sky High Club but there are still some who are not aware of its benefits, so she urged them to sign up in order to be part of the incentive.
Furthermore, another Sky High Club incentive will be launched in two weeks, offering agents the chance to earn extra points, and more fam trips are planned for 2026.
She highlighted the breadth of the airline’s network, from the US and Caribbean to the Maldives and South Africa. There are two new destinations too, with Seoul starting in March and Phuket at the end of October.
“And if you want to take a long weekend break in New York, you could do that,” she added.
The AIRmazing Awards, organised alongside Delta Air Lines, was held at De Vere Beaumont Estate in Old Windsor.
There were educational sessions during the day, while the evening was dedicated to celebrating agents’ efforts throughout the year.
Awards were given to frontline agents and agency partners, with data from the Sky High Club playing a key role in determining the winners.
“It was a great opportunity to celebrate our travel agents and our trade partners at this event,” said Gittins.
