Leger Holidays has introduced a ‘Mini Cruise & Tour’ range, combining escorted coach travel with overnight sailings from Newcastle to Ijmuiden in the Netherlands.
The five-day tours start with coach travel from a regional joining point, or from the client’s front door with Door-to-Door service, to Newcastle for an overnight sailing, with a meal package and cabin included.
Three tours head for battlefields sites in northern France, Belgium, the Netherlands and western Germany. The other two tours travel to Amsterdam, with a choice of two different itineraries.
Ashley Dellow, Leger Shearings Group’s head of retail sales, said: “Leger Holidays has many tours to Europe with short sailings across the Channel but the new overnight crossings from Newcastle have some great USPs agents should bear in mind when selling the new ‘Mini Cruise & Tour’ holidays.
“Travelling overnight maximises time at the destination; cabins are included, so a restful night is possible and there’s the fun of being at sea, with time for dinner and entertainment and socialising with other members of the tour.”
As well as two nights on the ferry crossings, the holidays feature two nights’ three-star hotel accommodation with breakfast and other meals and escorted excursions. The battlefield tours are accompanied by a specialist battlefield guide.
