Royal Caribbean has started sea trials for its newest ship, Legend of the Seas, in Finland.
The line’s third Icon Class ship will sail 2,400 nautical miles over the next 10 days with more than 2,000 engineers and crew on board to complete a series of technical tests.
Once the trials are complete, the final phase of construction on the vessel will begin at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland ahead of its inaugural sailing from Civitavecchia in July.
Legend of the Seas will sail seven-night Western Mediterranean voyages from Civitavecchia and Barcelona, before relocating in November for the winter Caribbean season.
