BA returns to Stansted with three routes

British Airways is returning to Stansted next summer with three routes.

BA CityFlyer will serve Florence, Ibiza and Nice over the summer from May 18 using Embraer 190 regional jets.

It will be the first time that BA has offered scheduled flights from Stansted since before the pandemic.

The Saturday flights will complement existing weekday services from London City airport, plus recently added weekend services from Edinburgh to San Sebastian and Olbia in Sardinia.

Fares start at £41 each way to Florence, £36 to Ibiza and £43 to Nice.

BA is also adding Agadir to its route network from Gatwick.

The four-times weekly service will be operated by Gatwick short-haul subsidiary BA Euroflyer from March 31.

Agadir joins Marrakech as the second destination in Morocco and returns after an absence more than a decade.

BA Euroflyer chief executive Tom Stoddart said: “Agadir is a coastal destination that enjoys 300 days of sunshine per year, so we know it will see strong demand from our leisure customers and particularly those seeking holiday packages.

“It offers beaches, golf courses and water sports alongside the opportunity to experience cultural landmarks, such as Agadir Kasbah.”
