Jet2.com and sister operator Jet2holidays claimed four Globe Travel Awards between them as they claimed a quadruple win for the second year running.

The airline and tour operator secured four Globes after tens of thousands of votes were cast by the travel agent readers of Travel Weekly.

Jet2.com bagged the Best Short-Haul Airline award, while Jet2holidays won the Best Short-Haul Operator, Best Trade-Friendly Brand and Best Trade Sales Team honours.

Wendy Wu Tours also scooped more than one award, taking home the Best Long-Haul Specialist Operator and Best Premium Touring Company categories.

New winners included Stuba, which won the Best Accommodation-only Provider category, and Virgin Atlantic, which was named Best Long-Haul Airline.

The ceremony took place at the Grosvenor House hotel in central London and was the first to be held in the Globes’ traditional January date since 2020.

The awards were presented by comedian, actor and presenter Jason Manford and Travel Weekly Group editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley, while entertainment included a performance from iconic pop star Lulu.

Special awards were presented to Clia UK & Ireland managing director Andy Harmer, who won the Outstanding Achievement Award, and Inspire Group’s Samantha Fisher, who won the Unsung Hero Award.

Two new awards were presented to reflect companies’ commitment to sustainability and staff wellbeing, with easyJet holidays scooping the Sustainable Future Award and Ocean Holidays being named Employer of the Year.
