Ryanair releases ‘rescue’ fares as BA axes Nuremberg-Heathrow service

Budget carrier Ryanair has launched “rescue fares” from €29.99 for British Airways’ passengers who want to travel between Nuremberg and London from next February.

The no-frills airline said the fares were to “rescue German and British passengers abandoned by British Airways’ cancellation of its Nuremberg to London-Heathrow route from February 2024”.

Ryanair offers 20 weekly flights between the Bavarian city and Stansted “ensuring that this key city and business connection is maintained”.

Jason McGuinness, Ryanair’s chief commercial officer, said: “Ryanair once again comes to the rescue of European passengers following British Airways cancelling all of their flights between Nuremberg and London-Heathrow.

“Ryanair will offer British Airways’ passengers left stranded by this cancellation rescue fares from as low as €29.99 which are available to book now on Ryanair.com.”
