The latest New South Wales services operated by the airline mean that passengers travelling throughout Australia on the G'Day Airpass now have 58 nationwide destinations to choose from. Services within New South Wales start from £40 a sector, flying from Sydney to 19 Ansett G'Day destinations.
New destinations include Broken Hill, the beach resort of Merimbula, the Aboriginal centre of Wagga Wagga and Byron Bay, famed for its tropical rainforests and waterfalls.
The G'Day Airpass is designed for the more independent traveller and is part of Ansett's strategy to bring tourism to regional Australia.
The carrier has also reduced its fares. The single-zone rate has dropped from £110 to £95, the multi-zone pass from £135 to £120 and the mega-zone tariff from £245 to £215, showing a saving of 13.5%.
