A sports specialist has put exclusive charter packages on sale for next year’s Six Nations Rugby fixtures along with its biggest-ever trade incentive in a bid to become a majority trade tour operator.
Worldchoice Sports began selling through travel agents in 2021 and offers price parity to trade partners. Currently agents account for more than 40% of sales.
Founder and chief executive Shay Soni said it hopes to raise its profile in the trade and have the majority of the operator’s sales coming from agents within 12 months.
He said: “Our travel agent partners represent our fastest growing distribution channel. Since launching to the trade in 2021, our trade sales have significantly grown each year and now account for over 40% of our business, with our aim to become majority trade within the next 12 months.”
He added: “In order to further grow trade sales and raise awareness of our brand, we’re launching our largest ever trade incentive.”
The operator has now released Six Nations Rugby ticket, hotel and flight packages for exclusive charters from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow for the Italy-Scotland game.
For both England fixtures, there is a choice of flights from Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Stansted, Gatwick, Bristol, Bournemouth or Exeter.
Match ticket options range from standard to corporate hospitality while there are options to upgrade clients’ hotels to four or five-star accommodation.
To accompany the launch, the operator has launched its largest-ever booking incentive across all bookings.
Agents can earn a £20 Love2Shop voucher on all Six Nations bookings.
For all other sports travel packages, the operator is paying a tiered incentive, in which agents earn £20 for every booking up to £5,000 rising to £50 for every booking over £5,000 in value.
For every additional £5,000, the rewards increase by £50, with agents able to earn up to £250 on all bookings over £25,000.
The incentive will run at least July 31 this year.
The operator sells packages to a wide range of sporting events including Formula 1, cricket, tennis, golf and American Sports. The operator’s agent-only Facebook group Worldchoice Sports Agents now has more than 5,000 members. The operator features weekly offers for agents to promote via social media or download as window cards.
Since 2001, it has taken almost 50,000 passengers to a wide selection of sporting events, including European football, boxing and rugby.
