MSC Cruises’ chief executive has hinted new ships are on the horizon.
The line named its 22nd vessel MSC Euribia during a ceremony in Copenhagen on Thursday, June 8.
And Gianni Onorato told Travel Weekly that further members are likely to join its fleet before too long.

He said news can be expected “very soon”, adding: “Sometimes old people need to take a breath and that’s what I’m doing, but it will not be too long, I promise.”
Onorato made the comments during a Travel Weekly webcast with the magazine’s editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley, who spoke to MSC Cruises’ managing director for the UK and Ireland, Antonio Paradiso, and UK and Ireland sales director Steve Williams. Onorato made an unscheduled guest appearance halfway through the recording.
Paradiso and Williams said itineraries and prices for 2025 sailings will be released in the next few weeks.
It will be the line’s earliest announcement ever, Williams said, with Paradiso pointing out that some customers “like to book way ahead”.
Williams added: “We see the opportunity and we want to seize the opportunity and continue to build upon that success.”
