Riviera Travel has introduced five new dedicated solo itineraries for 2026 in response to growing demand.
The company will offer 12 dedicated solo river cruise itineraries, including a new eight-day Medieval Germany for solo travellers tour, which will stop in Mainz, Würzburg, Rothenburg, Miltenberg, Wertheim, Bamberg and Nuremberg.
The sailing will depart in August 2026, with prices leading in from £3,249 per person.
Riviera has also added four new departures to its long-haul escorted travel programme for 2026, taking its solo itinerary total to 14.
The 11-day Maritime Canada for solo travellers tour will depart between May and September 2026, with prices leading in at £4,999 per person. This includes a journey along the Cabot Trail and a drive through Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
The 13-day Costa Rica for solo travellers itinerary will operate between April and October 2026, with prices beginning at £5,999 per person. The trip will visit Tortuguero National Park, the area around the Arenal Volcano and Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge.
The 14-day Classic California for solo travellers tour will be available between April and October 2026, and include visits to Yosemite National Park and California’s Pacific Coastline. Prices start at £6,299 per person.
The 13-day Classic Egypt, Cairo, Luxor & Nile cruise for solo travellers, will run between April and September 2026, and include visits to the Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx and sightseeing in the Valley of the Kings on the west bank of the Nile. Prices start at £5,199 per person.
All solo holidays include a meet and greet at the UK departure point, a welcome dinner and drinks, an expert tour manager specialising in solo travel and maximum group sizes of 25 people on escorted tours.

In a recent interview, Stuart Milan, trading director at Riviera, added that the solos market “has been huge throughout 2024” and as a result the company’s offering is “growing significantly”.
He observed that a lot of solo travellers were married but passengers had decided to either go on holiday with friends or on their own as individual explorers.
