Dubai-based destination management company Arabian Adventures has revealed it has achieved an 81% year-on-year increase in sales from the UK to Oman.
Bookings from the UK have grown to account for 56% of the company’s Oman business, with December the strongest month for travel (53% of bookings).
Anabela Radosevic, manager of sales and services at Arabian Adventures, said: “UK travellers are rediscovering the Gulf – not just as a stopover, but as a destination for complete itineraries.”
Eight out of 10 bookings are driven by luxury tour operators, the company said. It added that family travel represents 69% of bookings, while couples account for 25%.
Bookings for 2026 are ahead of the same point last year for 2025, with February attracting “particularly strong demand”.
Hotel and transfer packages make up the bulk of demand, and Six Senses Zighy Bay remains the most-booked property. There has also been growing interest in Muscat’s five-star hotels.
Radosevic said: “As Oman continues to strengthen its luxury offering, we’re focused on creating the kind of experiences that complement, not compete with, the UAE.
“For UK travellers, the appeal lies in combining the sophistication of the Emirates with the serenity of Oman – it’s a story that’s resonating strongly across our key markets.”
She added: “We’re seeing families spend part of their holiday in Dubai or Abu Dhabi for urban experiences, then continue to Oman for nature, wellness and culture. It’s the perfect contrast – one region, two perspectives.”
Oman is aiming to attract 4.5 million international visitors by the end of 2025, having recorded 4 million last year. Of last year’s figure, 16% were from Europe.
