Gulf Air Holidays has recruited Lloyd Cross – Jet2holidays’ former trade sales general manager – as Europe agency sales director.
Cross announced in August that he was leaving Jet2holidays after 13 years with the tour operator.
In his new role, Cross will work with Souchil Rogbeer, sales and marketing vice-president at Gulf Air Holidays, the new operating arm of Bahrain-based Gulf Air.
Cross said on LinkedIn: “I’m very excited to share that I’ll be joining Gulf Air Holidays as Europe agency sales director in the coming weeks, which we’ll be launching to the trade in no time.
“I can’t wait to share more soon.”
Rogbeer says on his own LinkedIn profile that he has been vice-president with the Gulf Air Group since January 2024, spearheading the launch for Gulf Air Holidays.
Earlier this year, Gulf Air started a Gatwick service to Bahrain, operating three times a week using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
Gulf Air also runs double daily flights from Heathrow and four a week from Manchester.
More details about his appointment are expected in the coming days.
