Holland America Line reveals overall winner of Have it All Giveaway

Holland America Line has revealed the overall winner of its Have it All Giveaway incentive.

The line ran the competition throughout January and February, in partnership with Travel Weekly, to reward agents with a range of prizes – including a 10-day Alaska Cruisetour.

Karen Farndell, associate vice-president of sales and marketing for the UK and Ireland, has announced that the winner of the top prize is CruiseKings agent Sharon Bailey.

Bailey will enjoy a seven-day cruise in June, staying in a Verandah stateroom for two and featuring Glacier-cruising opportunities in Glacier Bay and College Fjord, combined with a two-night land stay in Denali. She also claims £2,000 in flight credit and the line’s Have it All package while on board.

“This is the best prize we have ever given away; it’s very exciting,” said Farndell, announcing Bailey as the winner.

“Huge congratulations to you, Sharon – we’re really excited for you to be sailing with Holland America Line to Alaska this June and we cannot wait to hear about your trip.”

In a webcast with Travel Weekly, Holland America Line senior director of sales enablement Bill Fletcher described the trip as a “great cruisetour”.

“It includes Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, which is the most iconic glacier destination in Alaska,” he explained.

“Not a lot of cruise lines have permissions to visit it, but Holland America has more than anyone because we’ve been cruising there since before it was a national park, and we’re proud of that.”

Fletcher said the line is completing a $70 million renovation project at its Denali lodge, in preparation of celebrating 80 years of operating in Alaska, which will see the addition of new guest rooms and nature trails and revamped restaurants.

“It’s not just a hotel, it’s an expansive destination and you don’t even need to leave the property – we invite guests to stay as long as they can,” he added.

Other prizes given away as part of the competition included Elemis skincare and spa products, Amazon vouchers and Holland America Line-branded gifts.
