HX Expeditions plans to host “the largest fam trip in expedition travel history” in 2026 to mark its 130th anniversary.
The specialist will host 400 agents from the UK and Europe on a two-night voyage from Hamburg to Heligoland on MS Fridtjof Nansen from May 5-7.
There will be an “immersive programme” visiting the main island of Heligoland and the offshore islet of Düne with shore landings, wildlife encounters, science sessions and expert presentations.
The itinerary will also combine elements of the operator’s Arctic and Antarctic expeditions to give agents a taste of how typical landings and activities work in the polar regions.
Agents will also be able to experience the 1896 Cabin - a 19th century expedition cabin which will be rolled out across the fleet in 2026 to mark HX Expeditions’ anniversary.
Nathaniel Sherborne, senior vice-president and managing director for EMEA, ANZ and global sales enablement, said: “Reaching our 130-year milestone in 2026 is an opportunity to strengthen the relationships we already have, while also introducing HX to new partners who share our passion for exploration.
“We look forward to welcoming agents from the UK and Europe to experience our approach first-hand.”
