A week-long celebration is being planned by Intrepid Travel ahead of the fifth annual National Travel Agent Day (NTAD) September 5.
The day was established by the operator in 2020 during the pandemic to recognise and celebrate the vital role travel agents play in the industry.
Daily giveaways, including a Sunday roast lunch token, gift vouchers, and a free Intrepid trip, will be offered as the B Corp responsible travel company gears up for next month’s anniversary.
Intrepid staff will also be conducting in-store visits across the country to celebrate top-performing agents and deliver a new mini brochure. Some will include a golden ticket, offering a taste of what to expect on an Intrepid tour through exclusive UK experience days.
The operator has increased a trade discount to 60% off for agents and 40% off for companions for bookings made in September for travel in 2025 and 2026.
Agents will also receive £50 for every Intrepid Premium booking made that month.
This year also marks the first anniversary of the operator’s dedicated agent hub offering training on trip styles and themes, along with updates on campaigns, sales, and promotions. More than 336 agents have signed up in the first year.
Head of trade partnerships Carrie Grant said: "Travel agents are the backbone of Intrepid’s success and of the travel industry as a whole.
“We’re committed to showing our appreciation for their dedication, and we hope our support of National Travel Agent Day serves as a meaningful celebration of their hard work and contributions.
"We’d love to see other operators get involved with NTAD and learn about the incredible things they’re doing to support agents."
