Jet2 hosts more than 40 tourist boards at head office to 'strengthen partnerships'
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays hosted senior figures from more than 40 tourist boards at their head office in Leeds to discuss how to "continue strengthening partnerships and attracting even more holidaymakers".
The delegates were joined for the all-day event this week by a senior team from Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, including chief executive Steve Heapy, chief customer officer Gavin Forth, chief commercial officer Adam Mulroy, sustainability and corporate affairs director David Neill and head of airports and tourism organisations Janice Mather.
The airline and tour operator delivered presentations and hosted a series of panel events designed to “foster collaboration and encourage discussion on a number of key themes”.

The panel discussions covered sustainability and anti-tourism protests, UK market trends, extending seasons and making best use of marketing budgets.
The day concluded with an inaugural ‘destination tourism awards’ ceremony with five winners receiving accolades for their ongoing partnerships with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
The winners were:
- Most Impactful Co-Marketing – Visit Malta
- Destination Growth Excellence – Turkey Promotion & Development Agency
- Innovation in Tourism Collaboration – Costa Daurada Tourist Board
- Long Term Partnership Excellence - Madeira Promotion Bureau
- Long Service Award to Tourism – Leslie Vella, Deputy CEO of Malta Tourism Authority and Chief Officer Strategic Development
Heapy said: “Putting long-term partnerships with destination partners is at the heart of everything we do, so it was fantastic to spend the day with partners to discuss how we can strengthen our relationships even further.
"It was a day full of insightful discussion, and I can say with every confidence that we all came away with a determination to work together even more closely to grow successfully.
"I would like to thank all of our partners for attending and making it such a successful day, while also congratulating each of our award winners for their unwavering support and collaboration.”
Attendees on the day included delegates from Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Jersey, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Madeira, Visit Algarve, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Benidorm, HOSBEC, Balearic Islands, Cadiz, Andalucia, Costa Brava, Costa Daurada, Tour Spain and Turkey.
