Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have unveiled a “significant expansion” to their Jersey programme for 2026 by introducing a new route from Bournemouth, as well as additional capacity from Newcastle and extended seasons from East Midlands and Leeds Bradford.
The expansion means the brands have nearly 50,000 seats on sale between Jersey and the UK mainland next summer, representing a capacity increase of more than 50% compared with summer 2025.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are delighted to be significantly expanding our Jersey programme for summer 2026, following continued demand from customers and independent travel agents.”
The new route from Bournemouth will operate from July 25 to September 29, 2026, with the service running each Tuesday and Saturday.
It means Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate six new routes from Bournemouth next summer, following the previous announcement of services to Malaga, Dubrovnik, Kos, Reus and Verona.
Newcastle will be served by a Tuesday service from next summer, in addition to a Saturday service, from May 26 to September 29, 2026.
The season extensions at East Midlands and Leeds Bradford mean flights will be on sale from East Midlands from May 24 to October 10, 2026, and from Leeds Bradford from May 2 to October 10, 2026.
Heapy said: “The addition of the brand-new and exclusive route from Bournemouth, on top of additional capacity and extended seasons across three other UK bases, means we are offering a great choice of flights departing from four of our UK airports next summer.
“With weekend and midweek flights available, customers have plenty of choice and flexibility when it comes to enjoying a getaway to Jersey next summer with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.”
Visit Jersey chief executive Tricia Warwick said: “Jet2’s decision to add new routes and increased capacity to Jersey is a significant boost for the island and our visitor economy.
“Connectivity is crucial for Jersey, and this expanded access will make it easier for more visitors to experience our beautiful island.
“We look forward to continued collaboration with Jet2 and Ports of Jersey to further strengthen Jersey’s position as a visitor destination.”
