Tui’s cruise companies, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, Tui Cruises and Marella Cruises, have reported “record results” for the full-year 2025.
Annual adjusted profits for the three companies rose by €108 million year on year to €482 million.
In Tui’s full-year earnings report, the strong performance was attributed to “consistently high-capacity utilisation”, more passenger days, higher daily rates and investments in newbuilds for Tui Cruises.
The total fleet now sits at 18 ships with capacity utilisation averaging around 99%, available passenger days increasing by 18% to 11.4 million and daily rates rising by 2% to €235.
Speaking at a press conference about the decision to switch new ship orders from Marella Cruises to Tui Cruises, chief executive Sebastian Ebel said: “Marella is an outstanding company.
“The results have been great, and you have seen all the prizes they have won. We very much believe in the future of Marella.
“We do see that there are significant opportunities for Marella. How we will structure it, that’s something that needs to be discussed and determined.”
Marella Cruises chief executive Chris Hackney said: “Marella Cruises has delivered a record-breaking year in 2025.
“We achieved an Ebita [a measure of profit] of €167 million, up €26 million year-on-year, marking the strongest financial performance in our 30 years.
"Beyond our financial performance, we’re proud to have set new benchmarks in customer experience, with record customer satisfaction scores, and our highest ever retention levels with our customers returning time and time again.”
