Newmarket Holidays is offering agents the chance to win a new electric car as part of a sales incentive running in partnership with Travel Weekly.
The name of the winning agent will be revealed on stage at the Agent Achievement Awards (AAAs) taking place in London on July 9.
Hayley Morris, head of trade and partnerships, told a Travel Weekly webcast why Newmarket has launched this competition – the first of its kind for the operator – and how agents can be in with a chance of driving off with the Renault 5 E-Tech electric car.
“The travel industry has been going through a massively challenging time, and agents have just shown absolute resilience through it,” she said.
“We thought there is no better time to launch a campaign like this than in the run-up to the Agent Achievement Awards.
“The night is all about celebration and we are there to celebrate the agents in the industry – we want to bring some joy and some added fun to the night.”
It is hoped that the car will be at the awards venue – the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge – for agents to see during the AAAs and the vehicle will be delivered to the winning agent.
To enter the competition, agents just need to make at least one booking with Newmarket from today until June 20, and their entries will be in the draw.
Ahead of the awards, Lucy Huxley, Travel Weekly editor-in-chief, will join David Sharman, Newmarket Holidays’ chief commercial officer, to draw five names out of the hat – and those five agents will be at the AAAs for the final reveal.
They will be hosted on the Newmarket Holidays table during the awards ceremony and the winner will be announced on stage.
Each booking will count as an entry, so if agents make five bookings, that’s five entries, explained Morris.
“It is about rewarding the agents that have supported us through this challenging time, and have some fun on the night and create some excitement,” she said.
