Prestige Travel is adding Turkey, Cyprus, Malta and Morocco its short-haul programme amid “strong demand for service” from travel agents as the market evolves.
The operator offers many long-haul options in North America and Australasia, but has also offered upmarket Mediterranean holidays since it was founded in 1989.
It said it is a leading specialist for Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia, and has a “highly successful” programme to Tenerife and the Canary Islands.
Trade relationship manager Joe Lavers said: “Agents tell me their clients are increasingly demanding – they want multi-centre travel, guaranteed room types…and genuine advice on the best properties and resorts to suit their needs.
“Our short-haul bookings are up 35% year-on-year, and agents are asking us for more destinations.
“With the expertise of our team and the strength of our product, we’re excited to keep expanding our portfolio to meet that demand.”

Nicky Shafe, short-haul product manager, said more properties are being added across Majorca, which Prestige already features, and it is also now offering Malta and sister island Gozo.
“In Cyprus, we’re now featuring Paphos, Limassol and Pissouri, while in Morocco, we have Marrakech and Agadir,” she continued.
In Turkey, Belek, Dalaman, Bodrum, Gocek, Fethiye and Marmaris are featured while the southern Spain portfolio is growing, with a focus on Marbella and Estepona.
Lavers noted how Prestige Travel had consolidated its short-haul product offering amid the pandemic, but now it feels “the right time to re-launch these destinations”.
Furthermore, the operator is working on a dedicated Sicily and Italian Lakes brochure which it hopes to launch soon.
Lavers added: “We deliver what travel agents need for their most discerning clients: no call waiting times, direct access to experts who can discuss requirements in detail, beautifully presented quotes, rapid turnaround, top-level commission, and an excellent voucher incentive to reward frontline staff – paid as soon as the booking is confirmed.
“We’re extremely trade focused, and we back our agents with marketing support, travel show participation, and brochures for our best-selling destinations.”
