Inteletravel reports ongoing growth in agent numbers

Inteletravel has reported a 9% increase in UK agents since the start of the year.

The homeworking group said it has grown to 11,524 UK agents, which it claims is down to its “unique proposition” in the market, where agents pay a one-off joining fee plus a monthly fee.

Inteletravel also reported strong bookings for the start of the year, with bookings between January and May up 62% compared to the same period in 2021, and 90% on the same period in 2019.

Spain, Greece and Portugal were the top destinations, and the group said its top 10 individual sales totalled £288,822 in May.

Tricia Handley-Hughes, Inteletravel UK director, said: “We are an increasingly attractive career option for many people outside travel who have transferable skills and have proved they can be excellent travel advisors.

“The quality and quantity of our preferred partners is key to success, combined with the increasing frequency of our training and education programme.”
