Railbookers Group has launched an interactive online map to help agents and consumers to plan holidays by train.
The tool is available on Railbookers and Amtrak Vacations’ websites, with information about train routes, stations, hotels and attractions in destinations worldwide.
Once an itinerary is selected, the map narrows on each city destination, showing the train station, major attractions and their proximity to the thousands of hotel options available across both brands.
Hotels can be selected for more information, showing photos, amenities, specific location details and more.

Each day of the chosen itinerary is also outlined with a description of the day-to-day sightseeing and activities included with the trip.
The map also allows users to visualise the train routes for each journey.
Jim Marini, strategic partnerships senior vice-president, said: “Listening and responding to the needs and desires of our travel advisors and customers is at the core of our company, and our new interactive map tool is just the latest example of that.
“As the experts in worldwide rail travel, we’re so excited to deliver this easy-to-use and informational tool to our travel advisors and customers, making their travel planning with us easier.”
For a holiday to Rome with Railbookers, the user would be able to see the location of Roma Termini station, hotel options and major attractions such as the Colosseum and Vatican City in one interactive screen.
Likewise, for a New York trip with Amtrak Vacations, agents can see hotel options close to Times Square, Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station and other major points of interest.
