Rail tour specialist Railbookers has added five new independent train holidays in Switzerland to cater for “high demand”.
Each of the new itineraries can be booked for travel now or up to two years in advance.
The new Zurich and Lucerne itinerary is a seven-day holiday to two of the country’s most sought-after cities.
There are two new nine-day tours – Swiss Mountain Peaks, The GoldenPass Express and Zurich plus The GoldenPass Express, and Swiss Mountain Peaks from Zurich.
The final two new tours are both 10-day journeys – St Moritz, The Top of Europe and The Matterhorn from Milan plus The Matterhorn, The Top of Europe and St Moritz from Zurich.
The tours include flights, hotel accommodation, rail travel through Switzerland, sightseeing and activities such as boat cruises and a tour of the Lindt Home of Chocolate in Zurich.
Many of the rail trips are along Switzerland’s most scenic routes and several of the itineraries feature the GoldenPass Express, a train journey from Montreux to Interlaken.
Holidays can be customised with features such as additional hotel nights, extra sightseeing or luxury upgrades.
