Sales open for MSC World America’s inaugural season

Sales have opened for the inaugural season of MSC Cruises’ second World-class vessel, MSC World America.

The LNG-powered ship, scheduled to enter service in April 2025, will homeport at the cruise line’s new cruise terminal in PortMiami, which is due to be completed by December this year.

The vessel will sail two seven-night Caribbean itineraries for its inaugural season: Eastern and Western Caribbean.

The Eastern Caribbean itinerary calls at Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and San Juan in Puerto Rico, while Western Caribbean sailings call at Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico and Roatan in Honduras.

All itineraries will also call at MSC Cruises’ private island destination Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas. Sailings cost from £589.

The 22-deck ship features 13 restaurants including six speciality restaurants and two buffets, as well as 20 bars, lounges and cafes, including a comedy club, sports bar and mixology bar.

The vessel also has six pools, 14 hot tubs, a waterpark that includes a virtual reality (VR) experience, kids clubs, three entertainment venues and an 11-deck-high dry slide.

It also features a concept new to MSC Cruises called The Harbor – an outdoor area on deck 20 designed for kids and families to relax and play.

Chief executive of MSC Cruises Gianni Onorato said: “MSC World America will become the fourth of our new ships that we have deployed in the Caribbean for her inaugural season.

“This is not only part of our commitment to growth in the North American market, but also to bring our newest and most innovative ships to the region for our international guests from around the world.

“This exciting new ship will definitely deliver the ultimate cruise experience in the Caribbean when she comes into service.”
