Tui names new UK & Ireland commercial director

Phillip Iveson has been named as new commercial director for Tui UK & Ireland from November 1.

He moves internally following last month’s announcement of the departure of former commercial and business development director Richard Sofer after seven years.

Iveson joined Tui in 2010 from Expedia and he moves to the new UK role from Tui Group product & purchasing where was commercial director, responsible for product strategy and planning, strategic hotel optimisation and partnership revenue generation.

In a further management change, Chris Logan becomes managing director – specialist businesses, reporting to Iveson.

Logan will take responsibility for Tui River Cruise alongside his current role leading Crystal Ski Holidays and Tui Lakes & Mountains.

Tui UK & Ireland managing director Andrew Flintham said: “Phill brings a wealth of commercial knowledge and experience, making him well placed to lead UK&I’s commercial function.

“I have worked closely with Phill for more than 12 years and look forward to welcoming him onto the UK&I board of directors and wish him every success with his new role.”

Iveson added: “I’m delighted to be joining the board of TUI UK & Ireland at such a pivotal time, as we grow not only in our traditional package market but also in new segments.

“I look forward to leading and working closely with the fantastic commercial department at Tui UK&I, as well as working alongside my peers and board colleagues to drive the business forward.”
