Oliver’s Travels buys Menorca villa specialist

Oliver’s Travels has added 32 new homes to its range following its acquisition of Menorca Private Owners, a luxury villa rental operator based on the Balearic island .

The purchase is Oliver’s Travels’ largest acquisition to date, expanding its offering on Menorca to a total of 159 villas.

The company is also set to announce additional investments before the end of the year.

It said this latest acquisition marked a “significant milestone” in its “ambitious” growth strategy, which will “deliver a more diverse offering of luxury rental options to its discerning clientele”.

Oliver Bell, co-founder of Oliver’s Travels, said: “We are delighted to announce our second acquisition of the year, further expanding our presence in the beautiful region of Menorca.

“This strategic move not only adds a stunning collection of villas to our portfolio but also underscores our commitment to offering unparalleled experiences in one of Europe’s most sought-after destinations.

“We welcome the talented team from Menorca Private Owners and look forward to the exciting opportunities this partnership will bring to our valued customers.”

Pete Perera, managing director of Menorca Private Owners, added: “I’m excited by the opportunity to grow the business and continue to be part of the MPO family. I know I speak for the entire team [when I say] that the business has been left in great hands and will continue to deliver the personal service our owners and travelling clients know us for.”

The company’s portfolio now features more than 1,400 holiday homes in Spain.

When Oliver’s Travels acquired French villa specialist Homes & Provence in the summer, it said it was “actively pursuing” more strategic acquisitions internationally and expected to announce two “significant deals” before the end of the year.
