A new cruise line has reconfigured a former Costa Cruises ship to run adults-only party sailings with DJs “performing from sunset to sunrise”.
Pireaus-based Neonyx Cruises is to enter service with the former 3,470-passenger Costa Magica around the Greek islands on July 15.
A series of adult-only three and four-night cruises among the Cyclades islands will operate as a floating electronic/dance music festival.
The re-named Goddess of the Night, described as the first in the fleet to sail, will feature a line-up of between seven and 10 international DJs and a buffet open until 4.30am.
Passengers can customise cruises by choosing their port of embarkation and disembarkation to be either Piraeus, Mykonos, or Cesme in Turkey. The ship will also visit Santorini.
All 1,354 cabins on the 105-tonne ship built in 2004 have been renovated with modern design and sustainable materials.
Neonyx Cruises is styling itself as offering “the ultimate fusion of entertainment and premium cruise hospitality”.
A spokesperson said: “With an onboard line-up of world-famous DJs performing from sunset to sunrise, Neonyx Cruises promises a remarkable journey for solo travellers, couples and group of friends around Mykonos and Santorini aboard its iconic ship, Goddess of the Night.
“Ideal for couples, solo travellers and group of friends, Neonyx Cruises will provide the perfect setting to enjoy non-stop electronic music, captivating shows and vibrant vacation in the Mediterranean.”
