Travel tech specialist TProfile is showcasing its new AI capabilities to agents at the Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas) conference as part of its wider investment in the touring sector.
Its software platform is designed to help agents issue quotes and convert enquiries, with AI bringing “pretty significant” benefits to selling complex products, said TProfile chief executive Tony Evans.
He is at the Atas conference in Wales this week along with chief sales officer Bhav Taylor to show agents how its AI and other tools can simplify and speed up the creation of quotes from touring and adventure suppliers and boost conversion.
“It allows an agent to do a search which may be very specific – a specific hotel, a specific region, a specific activity, and it will search everything in our database and bring back the relevant content [from operators],” he said.
“You can go as deep as you want …and it is exceptionally clever.
“It is going to make it easier for agents to get really relevant products for customers. AI is going to have a positive impact.”

He said the software can also show a wide range of costs and availability for a holiday, with prices for a solo traveller, couples, or three or more – and it can search other existing quotes for rates.
“It is bringing absolute simplicity for agents to what can be a complex and wide ranging market,” he said.
“We are not in that space where [AI] replaces agents. It is going to make it so much easier, so much more efficient – better conversion, better customer service.
“There is AI coming out from all directions at the moment…but it still comes down to the same things in terms: it has got to be secure, it’s got to have integrity, it’s got to be trusted.
“Agents can rely on it, and [it is] not going to serve up a load of nonsense.”
He said that TProfile has content from most Atas members and works with high street and homeworking agencies, including the likes of Barrhead Travel, Hays Travel, Midcounties and Travelbag.
“We are now managing 120 brands and we are quoting about £1.3 billion in value every month,” he added.
With most Atas operators partnering with TProfile, it makes it “as easy as possible for agents to be able to sell those ordinarily complex products”, he continued.
“It’s good for agents because of the simplicity, and it’s good for the tour operators because it’s getting their products into a wider market in a method that’s easy for them to use.
“We are doing our bit [in touring and adventure] to get that wider understanding, wider knowledge of products and wider access to products.”
