After collecting her award, McAllister said she was “absolutely overwhelmed” to win the Outstanding Contribution to the Industry award.

Speaking about her meeting with local MP and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak during Covid, she said: “I did what anybody would do and I took the opportunity to make sure he knew what a difficult time we were going through – I think he did then understand.”

McAllister added that introducing a four day week at her own agency was all part of her efforts to ensure a motivated workforce.
She said: “I am so lucky to be in an industry I love and I just want everyone to feel happy in their jobs.”

Steve Williams said: “This is all dedicated to the people in my business. I’m so lucky to have been able to attract some really nice people and take the business forward in the time I have been here.

“I don’t normally seek the limelight or the applause but it is so lovely to get that recognition.”
