John Warr has departed from his position as Travel Village Group managing director after two years in the role.

When asked where he will move on to, he indicated he intends to pursue a managing director or sales director role, the company said.

Chief executive Phil Nuttall said: “John has been instrumental in driving and shaping our business and our team post-Covid.

“Among other things he has hugely raised our profile winning no less than 14 awards during his tenure including ‘Best places to Work in Travel’ among other cruise, land and retail awards.

“His dedication, enthusiasm, drive and genuine care for our family business has been there for all to see. I feel that we have both benefited enormously from working together and are stronger and wiser for the experience.”

Co-owner and director Paula Nuttall said: “We extend our heartfelt appreciation to John for his commitment and passion of our family business and we both wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”

Warr added: “The period I spent with Phil and Paula’s family business will forever remain a cherished memory.

“This is not only due to our remarkable joint accomplishments within a brief span, but also because of the talented colleagues and operator partners across both the cruise and land sector whom I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with.”
