The Travel Network Group has unveiled an AI tool for agents to use to help ‘wow’ clients.
Launching the TTNG Digital Assistant at the consortium’s conference in Bucharest, chief executive Gary Lewis told delegates: “Embrace the power of AI.”
He said agents should all have the AI tool ChatGPT on their phones to help with tasks but said the TTNG Digital Assistant “understands” their needs and has been built exclusively for them.
“It has all the knowledge of our business – we and the team have the ability to ask questions in an AI environment to get the right answers immediately,” he said.
“It is safe, secure and travel-specific.
“It enables customers to be in the room with you – and you are not using Google or ChatGPT.”
He said that agents can ask the tool about which business partners feature which destinations.
“It brings back itineraries with ‘wows’,” he said, citing the ability for the tool to flag up events that would be taking place during a client’s visit, for example.
It could also help agents to draft a letter to a supplier in case of a complaint, or they can write a letter to defend themselves against a chargeback.
Agents can also use it to build a business development action plan, to help plan ways to drive new customers, look at existing customers and deliver ‘wow’, he added.
“With AI, it has never been easier to deliver on business development plans because of the technology,” he said.
“AI enhances your ability to do that. The TTNG Digital Assistant is AI in a safe environment.”
Jamie Loizou, AmaWaterways managing director, commented: “AI presentations seem to be theoretical and overwhelming [but] TTNG Digital Assistant looks like a real enhancement, I urge you to use it.”
More than 400 delegates are at the conference in the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, from June 14-17.
