Tui is starting to offer Cairo city breaks in response to rising demand for winter sun and cultural escapes.
The move signals the operator’s continued confidence in Egypt, a country described as remaining a strong performer for winter bookings.
New city break packages are based on flights from Heathrow, Manchester and Gatwick with British Airways, Egyptair and easyJet.
Tui’s city collection allows agents to offer clients flexible packages, combining a selection of hotels in Cairo and nearby Giza with optional experiences including guided tours, Nile cruises and museum visits, according to the company.
Tui UK & Ireland commercial director Chris Logan said: "We’re seeing a clear trend for UK travellers seeking winter sun closer to home.
"Cairo is the perfect combination of culture, history, and mild winter temperatures, and it provides excellent value compared with long-haul alternatives. It’s a destination our trade partners can confidently promote to clients seeking memorable, shorter-haul winter breaks.”
He added: ”Egypt remains one of Tui’s most popular winter sun markets, and we continue to see strong demand from British customers.
"By expanding our city break offering in Cairo and Luxor alongside established resorts like Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam on the Red Sea, we’re giving agents more opportunities to capture bookings and deliver real value for clients."
The move follows Red Sea Holidays introducing the Egyptian capital as an add-on to resort packages.
