A Welsh travel firm has praised agents who have helped hit annual targets for sales six months early.
Wonky Sheep Travel became a supplier to a number of companies, including Hays, PTS, JLT, and Ramsey World Travel, over the last year, with more in the pipeline.
The firm’s financial year runs from April to March and owner Dave Dulin noted that general holidays and city breaks sales had risen sharply.
“While our main focus for agents is group travel, we have provided a mix of options to them and they’ve been delivering, which we know will grow further,” he said.
“We’re already seeing bookings covering the next financial year, but with holidaymakers booking more last-minute, we’re hoping for a strong finish to this year still."
The first homeworkers have also been signed up to a new independent agents division.
Dulin said: “We’ve had a wide variety of interest with some agents early into their carriers but are clearly going to do well in this business to others who are experienced and high sellers.
“There’s lots of really good agents out there who are ready to take the next step, create something for themselves, and we’re here to help them in a number of ways.”
He said the aim was to bring in up to 10 agents but would not fill the spots “for the sake of filling them”.
“Everyone who we bring in has the potential to grow, is already doing really well or we can see we can help them to get to the next level."
