There’s still time to join Celebrity Cruises’ training programme
The Celebrity Cruises for Beginners training programme is well underway, with just a handful of webinars remaining in the series. It’s proved as popular as ever, helping new-to-cruise agents and those looking to finetune their knowledge to boost their confidence when selling the Celebrity Cruises brand and product offering.
However, it’s not too late to join and catch up on the previous informative masterclasses on the Travel Weekly competitions page. For a taste of the key selling tips and tricks you will gain by signing up now, we look at three things you can learn by watching.
The first masterclass in the 2025 edition that was hosted with Travel Weekly took a deep dive into the unique selling points of Celebrity Cruises and its five brand pillars: food and drink; a sense of place; elevated hospitality; live shows and activities; and the accommodation options. Agents learnt about Celebrity Cruises’ game-changing fleet, including its groundbreaking Edge Class series and the innovative Magic Carpet platform.
The second masterclass with Travel Weekly focused on how to find the right customer for a Celebrity Cruises voyage. Leon Hand, the company’s training manager for EMEA, spoke about which kinds of client would be perfect for a Celebrity sailing, from adults seeking premium, relaxing breaks to older families with teenagers and customers who want a holiday that’s equal parts ‘explore’ and ‘restore’. The masterclass ended by explaining how to switch-sell from a land holiday to a cruise with Celebrity, as well as how to convey the quality and value of a premium cruise to clients.
Celebrity Cruises’ third masterclass hosted with Travel Weekly on August 26 will inform agents about the different ships in Celebrity Cruises’ fleet – from new launches such as Celebrity Xcel, which sets sail in November, to fleet favourites upgraded as part of Celebrity Renewed. Leon will speak about the accommodation on each ship and how to upsell to your clients. He’ll highlight the type of customer each ship and stateroom is suited to, so you can get off on the right foot when selling a Celebrity Cruises holiday to your clients.
