Almost three quarters of Brilliant Travel members are on track to have their best year, according to director Linda Pyle.
Speaking at the annual conference of parent brand Barrhead Travel Group, she added: “Our division is already trading 10% up year to date with plenty of lates business still going through.”
She noted trading up in cruise is up by a “phenomenal” 20%, commenting: “We’re seeing more confidence in this area and we’re also confident it’s going to continue growing over the next 12 months.”
Touring and adventure is another “thriving” sector, and following investment in new product and training, sales are up 34%.
“I don’t believe we have even scraped the surface yet when it comes to this type of travel and I’d really encourage members to take advantage of speaking with our T&A partners during conference,” she told delegates at the event in Dubrovnik.
Furthermore, dynamic packaging has seen growth of 10% this year.
She said 2024 closed with “massive” growth of 16%.
The division has welcomed 12 new home-based agents and three MSTPs [Managed Services Travel Partner] so far this year.
She also hailed several technology developments, notably the new Barrhead app which can be used by all agents in the Brilliant Travel division, describing it as “a game-changing tool”.
Annual recognition trips over the coming months will see eight MSTP business owners heading to South Africa, in partnership with Titan Travel, and the top-selling homeworkers will join a Rhine Christmas shopping river Cruise, hosted by Riviera Travel.
The Brilliant Travel 2026 conference will once again take place next spring.
• Vicky Billing, Riviera Travel’s UK and Ireland trade and partnerships director, gave away prizes to agents during the first evening, including a Christmas market cruise, a touring holiday in Morocco, a yacht cruise and a river cruise.
