EasyJet is expanding its UK regional network with three new routes this summer.
Services to Lisbon and Rome Fiumicino are being introduced from the budget airline’s new Newcastle base, while Manchester gets a link to Bari in Italy.
Newcastle-Rome flights start on March 30 with one-way fares starting at £33.99 in time for the Easter holidays.
The service to the Portuguese capital begins on June 22 at £43.99, with both new routes operating on Mondays and Fridays to enable long weekend city breaks.
The budget airline’s Manchester-Bari service will also run on Mondays and Fridays from July 3 with fares starting at £38.99.
EasyJet holidays will offer package holidays to all three destinations, inclusive of flights and hotel, plus 23kg luggage and transfers on Bari beach breaks.
EasyJet UK country manager Kevin Doyle said: “We’re excited to be launching new routes and packages from Manchester and Newcastle to three of Europe’s popular destinations, providing customers with even more choice and connectivity, whether they’re looking for a cultural city getaway or relaxing beach break.
“In our 30th year, we are set to operate our biggest ever flying programme this summer, offering more than 50 million seats to and from the UK, and remain committed as we ever have been to making travel easy.”
The airline serves 22 UK airports, offering more than 640 routes to over 140 destinations.
