A preview sailing has been added by Explora Journeys ahead of the official launch and maiden cruise of its third ship.
The MSC Group luxury brand is to run the special itinerary by Explora III on July 24-26, 2026.
The ‘Mediterranean Prelude’ has been designed as an "intimate behind-the-scenes preview" before the ship embarks on its inaugural cruise from Barcelona to Lisbon on August 3-10.
The preview will depart from Genoa to Civitavecchia - the port for Rome - via Marseille, Saint-Tropez, Villefranche-sur-Mer and Livorno.
Passengers will have the opportunity to meet the company’s leadership team, designers and officers.
The first Explora ship to be powered by liquified natural gas (LNG) will offer 463 suites, penthouses and residences, all with private balconies. The vessel will feature seven restaurants and 13 indoor and outdoor bars and lounges.
The line’s president Anna Nash said: “This exclusive preview journey is our way of honouring those who have grown with us and believed in our vision from the beginning.
“It’s an intimate celebration of what’s to come – a chance to step aboard Explora III before her official debut, connect with the visionaries who brought her to life and discover how our ‘Ocean State of Mind’ philosophy continues to evolve with every new chapter.”
The first ship in the fleet entered service in July 2023 to be followed by a second in September last year.
Explora III and IV follow in 2026 and 2027 before Explora V and VI are set to join the fleet in 2027 and 2028.
