A new Greek islands route has been added by Jet2 as part of an expanded flying schedule from Gatwick for summer 2027.
Capacity is up by more than a quarter (27%) to more than 1.1 million seats for the airline and tour operator’s second summer of operations from the London airport.
The expanded programme sees 35 destinations go on sale, including a new route to Mytilene on the island of Lesvos.
Jet2 will operate weekly Sunday services between May 2 and October 20, 2027 to the Greek island in the Aegean.
Capacity has been raised to Ibiza, Malaga, Palma and Tenerife.
The programme release comes just weeks before the company starts flights and holidays from Gatwick for the first time on March 26.
Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “Since we announced the launch of flights and holidays from London Gatwick, the reaction from customers and independent travel has been incredible, showing just how much demand there is for our industry-leading product and service.
“This popularity means we are significantly expanding our programme in just our second summer of operations from London Gatwick, offering holidaymakers even more choice and flexibility.
“As well as offering a fantastic selection of flights and holidays to choose from, we are giving customers the chance to get their summer 2027 holiday booked in nice and early.
“With the launch of flights and holidays from London Gatwick just around the corner, and summer ‘27 going on sale too, this is an incredibly exciting time, both for our company and for customers across the region.”
Gatwick chief executive Pierre-Hugues Schmit added: “We are delighted to see Jet2 expand so quickly at London Gatwick, offering even more fantastic destinations for our passengers, just as their first flights for 2026 take-off.
“This significant increase in routes and capacity for Summer 2027 highlights the strong demand we’re seeing across the region. Jet2’s commitment to delivering great-value, high-quality holidays is a perfect fit for London Gatwick and our drive to be the airport for everyone, whatever your journey.”
