Air India aircraft featuring new, retrofitted or upgraded cabin interiors will be deployed on UK routes this summer.
Mumbai-Heathrow flights will operate from July 1 with a combination of new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and retrofitted Boeing 787-8s, both featuring all-new cabin interiors.
These aircraft will replace Boeing 777-300ERs on the route, which already feature upgraded cabin interiors.
Bengaluru-Heathrow flights will operate from August 1 with the airline’s retrofitted Boeing 787-8 aircraft featuring new cabin interiors, introducing premium economy on the route.
All of the airline’s flights to and from Heathrow will be served by aircraft featuring new cabin interiors as a result.
Flights to Birmingham from Amritsar and Delhi, and to Gatwick from Ahmedabad and Amritsar, will be operated with Boeing 777-300ERs, replacing Boeing 787-8s, introducing first class on the routes.
The deployment adds capacity and helps boost connectivity on selected long-haul routes from various points in India.
