Gavin Williams is moving to become operations managing director at Glasgow airport.
He is switching from fellow AGS Airports’ owned Southampton airport where he has held the same title since February 2024.
Williams is making the internal move on January 1, 2026 reporting to AGS chief operating officer Ronald Leitch.
He previously spent five years with the Manchester Airports Group (MAG), where he held various operational roles at East Midlands, Stansted and Manchester airports.
The process of recruiting a replacement for Williams at Southampton airport is underway.
AGS was acquired by private airport operators, AviAlliance, earlier this year. The company subsequently revealed plans to invest £350 million in the future growth and decarbonisation of AGS over the next five years.
Leitch said: “During his time at Southampton, Gavin has demonstrated strong leadership, overseeing passenger growth and the addition of a host of new routes.
“He will join Glasgow at what will be a pivotal moment in its development as we embark on our ambitious terminal transformation and expansion programme.
“This will see us deliver best in class operational and retail facilities for the millions of passengers who travel through our airport, and I am looking forward to working with Gavin in the years ahead.”
Williams added: “This is an exciting time for Glasgow airport, and I am relishing the opportunity of leading the team as we undertake what will be the largest capital investment programme in the airport’s history.”
