Not In The Guidebooks has launched a series of private itineraries in Mexico based on “strong agent and customer demand”.
Each journey will be led by local hosts and guides and aims to show more of the country’s “rich culture, vibrant flavours, ancient traditions, and diverse landscapes”.
The six-to-nine-night private tours can each be combined with a Riviera Maya or Pacific Coast beach stay to give “the best of both worlds”.
A highlighted tour is the six-night Sacred Cities & Colourful Streets: A Journey through Central Mexico, which leads in at £1,606, not including flights.
Other highlights in the collection include visiting the ancient ruins of Teotihuacán, preparing authentic dishes in a Yucatecan family kitchen, taking part in a sacred Mayan Temazcal healing ceremony, witnessing a turtle hatchling release at sunset on the Pacific Coast and exploring hidden cenotes.
Not In The Guidebooks director of sales Debbie Sowden said: “Mexico has long been one of the most requested destinations from both our agents and customers.
“We’re thrilled to be launching itineraries that go deeper, offering authentic encounters with local hosts, unique cultural experiences, and journeys that uncover the real Mexico beyond the guidebooks.”
