A Not Just Travel consultant has made £330,000 in P&O Cruises bookings following its summer 2027 season launch on April 30.
Gemma Outram, who has been with the agency since October 2022, made 123 bookings in total with the line.
Outram said: “It was a whirlwind of a week; I booked over 100 cabins for my clients.
“I was due to fly off to Greece and visit a beautiful luxury adult-only resort, but I cancelled so that I could stay at home to make sure I was able to service all my clients’ bookings over the weekend.
“That is how dedicated I am to my clients; their needs come first every time.”
The three-day booking spree contributed to nearly £500,000 in bookings for Outram over a four-week period, with 99% of sales for cruises.
She attributed to her success to expertise in cruise brands, adding: “I’ve been on over 30 cruise ships and know every ship inside and out.
“I help my clients choose the best cabins and itineraries for them. Cruise is a fantastic industry and I’m glad to be at the centre of it.”
The news comes as P&O Cruises reported its second-biggest booking week in its history following “exceptional demand” after the launch.
Not Just Travel reported its biggest ever launch with the line, and for the week after April 30, cruise sales made up 30% of total bookings
Not Just Travel co-founder Steve Witt said: "The recent P&O Cruises launch in April has been nothing short of phenomenal.
“P&O Cruises is a well-loved brand and so lots of existing customers have come back for more. Gemma’s exceptional knowledge of cruise brands, combined with her reputation for outstanding customer service, has clearly resonated with holidaymakers eager to secure their dream cruise experiences.
“We also have to thank our key trade partner, P&O Cruises who are exceptional at delivering launches. Their support during this busy booking period has been unwavering - They clearly know what their customers want."
P&O Cruises sales director Ruth Venn added: “The extraordinary demand we’re witnessing for our 2027 summer itineraries demonstrates the enduring appeal of cruise holidays for all types of holidaymakers.
“A huge amount of effort goes into planning for our new programme launches and we’re grateful for the support of our travel agent partners. Consultants with specialist knowledge, like Gemma, play a vital role in helping customers navigate the wealth of options available."
