P&O Cruises has recorded its second-biggest booking week in its history following “exceptional demand” after the launch of its summer 2027 itineraries.
The only other seven-day period which had higher booking revenue was for the launch of 175th anniversary sailings in 2011.
The general sale for the summer 2027 itineraries opened on April 30, with traditional Mediterranean summer holidays being “the most popular choice” and most passengers booking balcony cabins or suites.
The line is offering a 10% early bird discount on Select Price holidays and 10% deposit on selected cruises booked by June 30.
Carnival UK and P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: “This record-breaking week is testament to the fact that a P&O Cruises holiday provides extraordinary value for money, whether guests are looking for a summer holiday with family or an island-hopping exploration with friends.
“It’s very encouraging to see that consumer confidence remains strong and guests see the benefits of booking their cruise holidays early.”
P&O Cruises sales director Ruth Venn added: “We’re overwhelmed by the support our travel agent partners have shown us by getting behind our summer 2027 launch period, and it has clearly paid off with the success stories we’re hearing.
“It’s better for clients and better for business to have holidays booked further out, so it’s never been more important to encourage guests to make the most of early bird discount we’re offering and get their summer 2027 holidays secured.”
