SeaDream Yacht Club has appointed James Scott as director of trade sales for the UK and Ireland.
Scott joins from Hapag Lloyd Cruises where he was UK and Ireland sales manager, and he replaces Mark Schmitt who joined JTA Travel Group as head of cruise last year.
Last year, the luxury operator hosted more than 100 UK agents on SeaDream’s II’s maiden call in London, where line president Bob Lepisto said it was “always looking to enhance our presence in the UK market”.
In a LinkedIn post, Scott said: “I’m honoured to take on the responsibility of continuing to grow the incredible SeaDream Yacht Club across the UK and Ireland.
“I’m excited to get started.”
Prior to starting at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, Scott was a business development and engagement manager at Cunard.
He has also held sales roles at Oceania Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival Corporation and Seabourn over the past decade.
Scott started his career at Holland America Line as a personal cruise specialist.
